The British Golf MuseumThe British Golf Museum traces the history of golf, in both Britain and abroad, from the middle ages to the present day.

Fittingly set next to the R & A Club House, the museum looks at all aspects of the game, from the evolution of its laws and the earliest players right through to the players of today. Informative text panels combined with an unsurpassed collection of memorabilia tell the story of golf in a fascinating and stimulating way.

The Edwardian Art GalleryEncounter many famous professionals and amateurs. Touchscreens allow you to look deeper into the lives of Champions and the history of championships, as well as allowing you to test your knowledge of the game.

New galleries exploring St Andrews' golfing heritage were added for the Open in 2000. These include new displays exhibiting the growth of the St Andrews' clubmakers. Their impact on the town and in the rise of golf's popularity is also explored. Other highlights include Dictionary Corner and the Edwardian Art Gallery.
